Garaj Mahal has returned to the studio for its latest release, w00t. The new disc collects eight songs, two compositions apiece from Fareed Haque, Kai Eckhardt, Eric Levy and Alan Hertz. In addition, w00t is said to offer up the recorded debut of the new MOOG guitar on two songs. w00t is set to hit on September 9 and the group will take to the road in support of the disc, with a West Coast tour that begins on September 18 at the Fez Ballroom in Portland, OR. Prior to then, Garaj Mahal will begin a week of Midwest dates on August 24 at Orton Park Fest in Madison, WI.
