Matisyahu recently switched up his band include a number of familiar faces, most of whom have deep ties to the jamband circuit. Indeed, in addition to mainstay guitarist Aaron Dugan, the reggae-singers band now includes AGP keyboardist Rob Marscher, drummer Skoota Warner (Santana, John Medeski, Lionel Ritchie), bassist Jason Fraticelli (JFJO) and percussionist Daniel Sadownick (The Roots, Al Green). Before Matisyahu hits the road for a performance at Canadas Pemberton Festival next weekend, the members of his backing band will flex their improvisational muscles with a free show at Brooklyns Rose Music Live at 9 PM this evening. Given the shows close proximity to Matisyahus stomping grounds, there is a chance the Hasidic-star may stop by for a sit in or two throughout the night.
