After appearing together at the Wanee Music Festival, Govt Mule and the Greyboy Allstars played separate shows at Raleigh, NCs Lincoln Theater Street Stage on Sunday. And, as expected, members of the two groups mixed and matched throughout the night. During Govt Mules set, Karl Denson emerged for an Other One jam leading out of Fallen Down. Soon after, Robert Walter and Jaime McLean, who opened the night with his band, appeared on That’s What Love Will Make You Do, before Denson returned for a run through Blind Man In The Dark.
Later in the evening, Warren Haynes returned the favor, sitting in with the Greyboy Allstars for the first time on a three-song stretch that included ‘Turn It On’, ‘Black Whip’ & the Beatles’ ‘Taxman.’ Govt Mule will appear at Knoxville, TNs The Valarium this evening, while Greyboy Allstars will headline Richmond, VAs Toads Place tomorrow.
