CEG, the people behind New York’s the Lion’s Den, CODA and, now, Sullivan Hall, will head to New Orleans the second weekend of JazzFest to host the first annual Backbeat Jazzfest Concert Series. The series will take place at a variety of venues throughout the Big Easy, including offerings like The Royal Family Ball featuring Soulive & Lettuce (The Republic, 5/1), The Trombone Blowout featuring Big Sam’s Funky Nation & Bonerama (Tipitina’s French Quarter, 5/1), Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue (the Blue Nile Downstairs, 5/2) and Toubab Krewe (Blue Nile Downstairs, 5/3).
