Former New Groove of the Month U-Melt will celebrate its 500th show this Thursday at Northampton, MAs Iron Horse Music Hall. Since forming in 2003, the New York City-based road warriors have reached the 500 mark in a little over 4 years, while slowly expanding their touring base across the country—-most recently playing 7 consecutive nights in Colorado. Following Thursday’s show, U-Melt will travel from NoHo to Ithaca, NY for a show at Castaways on Friday, before heading to Plains, PA for a Saturday performance at The River Street Jazz Cafe. U-Melt has also announced they will headline their first two-night stand their hometown of New York from March 28-29 at the newly named and renovated Sullivan Hall.
