OM Trio returned to the stage in San Francisco this past weekend with plenty of support from musicians and other fans alike. On Friday and Saturday the group opened for Umphrey’s McGee at the Fillmore, with UM’s Jake Cinninger joining in for a set-closing ‘Phobophobe’ during the latter show. The previous night concluded with a version of the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ ‘Suck My Kiss’ with the audience supplying vocals. Then on Sunday night at the Boom Boom Room, the OM Trio welcomed additional guests as Umphrey’s members Joel Cummins and Kris Meyers stepped up during the performance, as did Particle’s Steve Molitz who appeared on ‘Bulbous.’ At present the group has no other gigs in the offing.
