On Saturday night at Toad’s Place in New Haven, The Breakfast performed its final hometown gig with founding bassist Ron Spears. The band and its fans marked the occasion with a video montage that preceded the group’s second set. Then, late in the set, Spears and his bandmates were joined by the group’s original keyboard player Jordan Giangreco, who first performed with Spears, Tim Palmieri and Adrian Tramontano back when the quartet was known as Psychedelic Breakfast. Giangreco appeared for ‘Mooboo’s Voodoo (Episode 2)’ and ‘Funky Bill’s Circus Clichuot; as well as the encores, ‘See the Light’ and ‘Karn Evil #9.’ Spears last show with the band will take place tonight at the Electric Company in Utica, NY.
