Tonight in New York City, moe. and Dickey Betts & Great Southern will deliver New Year’s Eve performances, at Radio City Music Hall and B.B. KIng’s, respectively. On Sunday evening, the two acts joined forces as Betts showed up for moe.‘s Irving Plaza gig and performed throughout the group’s second set. Betts appeared on the opening ‘Opium’ which then segued into the Allman Brothers Band classic ‘In Memory Of Elizabeth Reed.’ Betts also enlivened the slide-infused ‘St. Augustine’ and also ‘Mexico’ which closed out the set. moe. then returned to deliver an extended encore that ran from ‘Spaz Medicine’ into ‘Buster’ and back into ‘Spaz Medicine.’
