In the fall of 2004, OM Trio announced an indefinite hiatus. In February of 2008, the band will return for three dates. Keyboard player Brian Felix, bassist Pete Novembre and drummer Ilya Stemkovsky will open two shows for Umphrey’s McGee at the Fillmore in San Francisco on February 15 and 16. Then the group will headline a performance at the Boom Boom Room on February 17. Since the group disbanded in 2004, its members have performed in a number of contexts, with Stemkovsky the most visible, as he took over drumming duties for Brothers Past in June 2006. There is no word as whether OM Trio, will deliver its self-described ‘Elevator Music for Headbangers’ on any additional dates.
