A vintage Red Diamond A-model acoustic mandolin that Michael Kang used with the String Cheese Incident from 1996-99 is one of the items available in a charity auction now underway. The Mimi Fishman Foundation, Our Future Now, Rock the Earth, and Conscious Alliance have teamed together for the auction, which feature 31 items. Proceeds from the mandolin will benefit Our Future Now, which Kang co-founded, as will the high bid for a round of golf and lunch with the musician at the Poppy Ridge Course in Livermore, CA. In addition, Kang’s bandmates have signed a guitar which will part of the auction along with Yonder Mountain String Band tickets/signed poster packages, a signed copy of Tales from moe. Republic, rare Phish apparel and much more. The auction will conclude on December 4.
