This coming Saturday, Smith’s Olde Bar in Atlanta will host the CD Release Party for Col. Bruce & The Quark Alliance. The group’s new disc Give Thanks To Chank, draws together thirteen compositions written by Bruce Hampton and Jeff Caldwell and the track ‘Lanerville’ also features guest appearances by Ike Stubblefield and Grant Green, Jr. The Quark Alliance, which consists of Hampton, Caldwell, Kris Dale and Mark Letalien, will perform throughout the south over the coming weeks and will wrap up 2007 with a three show New Year’s Eve run in Roanoke, VA at 202 Market.
