Longtime Meters guitarist Leo Nocentelli will perform with Dr. John and the Lower 911 at New Orleans Voodoo Music Experience this weekend. The two New Orleans legends will closeout the festivities on Voodoos WWOZ/SOCO stage, which will host a number of Big Easy favorites over the weekend, including PBS, Big Sams Funky Nation, Ivan Neville and Trombone Shorty. As previously reported, the ninth annual Voodoo Music Experience will take place in City Park this weekend, featuring performances by Rage Against the Machine, The Black Crowes, M.I.A., Wilco, Kings of Leon, Common, Ben Harper, Toubab Krewe and Smashing Pumpkins, among many others. The weekends festivities will also be broadcast online.
