Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey will scale back on its touring for the rest of the year to complete work on its next studio album. The trio is currently working with electronic music wizard Tae Meyulks and plans to release the disc in the spring of 2008 on Hyena Records. Before then the group will play its last 4 major shows of the year at home in Oklahoma and Colorado. On Friday the group will appear at Tulsas new Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame and then on Sunday the group will make a stop at Norman, OKs Groovefest. Next week, JFJO will also play a pair of shows with the Dead Kenny G’s and Mike Dillon’s GoGo Jungle at Boulders Fox Theater (10/17) and Ft. Collins, COs Aggie Theater (10/18).
