After performing at New Yorks Nokia Theatre Friday night, Sound Tribe Sector 9s David Murphy made a surprise appearance with Marc Brownstein and Aron Magners electronic project Conspirator at the nearby BB King Blues Club. Murphy took the stage partway through Conspirators late night set and contributed Live PA-style laptop/keyboards to Try Reading, Prometheus Grow More Pot and Brooklyn Tech. The evening climaxed with Conspirator playing a rearranged version of former Disco Biscuits drummer Sam Altmans Oname Wa. The members of STS9 and the Disco Biscuits have only performed together a handful of times over the years, most recently when STS9 drummer Zach Velmer played with the Disco Biscuits at Camp Bisco in August. To read about their longstanding friendship, please read our recent interviews with Brownstein and Murphy.
