Donna Jean & The Tricksters will kick of their fall tour with an appearance on David Gans Dead to the World radio show on Wednesday. This will be the precursor to a gig at Mill Valleys Sweetwater on Thursday, one of the final performances at the venue, which is slated to close at the end of the month. The Sweetwater show may well feature a guest appearance or two as some of Donna Jean Godchaux-MacKays former bandmates in the Grateful Dead live in the vicinity (and the band has teased who knows who might stop by – DJ has some very close friends in the neighborhood’). From there the group will route to the south, on through Colorado and then over to the east coast, with the final confirmed date on this leg of the tour set for October 20 at the River Street Jazz Cafe in Plains, PA.
