As previously reported, the Labor Day edition of Snowmass, CO’s annual Jazz Aspen Snowmass festival will take place this coming weekend featuring the Allman Brothers Band, Ben Harper, Joss Stone, Gov’t Mule, John Legend, Leftover Salmon, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Galactic and Great American Taxi, among others. In addition, the festival has recently confirmed that a number of special After Dark performances will take place throughout Aspen and Snowmass Village each evening. Aspen’s Belly Up in particular is offering a number of unique jam sessions. This Friday, August 31, Garage a Trois’ Stanton Moore, Skerik and Marco Benevento will perform a rare trio set, while on Saturday, September 2, Michael Franti will play a solo show with a number of unannounced ‘friends’ as part for benefit for his Power to the Peaceful event. Finally, on Monday September 3, Warren Haynes will play a solo acoustic set at the venue after Gov’t Mule anchors the festival’s mainstage activities.
