G. Love first heard the music of Jack Johnson in the late 90s and offered some initial musical exposure by including Johnsons composition ‘Rodeo Clowns’ on his 1999 release Philadelphonic. Now Johnson is returning the favor, by releasing a documentary and performance DVD from G. Love though his Brushfire Records label. A Year and a Night with G. Love & Special Sauce tracks the group as it travels from the US to Europe and Japan. The DVD also offers a live performance from the group with guest appearances from Donavon Frankenreiter, Tristan Prettyman and Marc Broussard.
