Last night Dickey Betts performed the final show in his native south for the near future. Betts and Great Southern appeared in Nashville at the Wildhorse Saloon and from there the group will travel west and then over to the northeast for a slate of summer gigs. The group departed the south in fine style, inviting a number of players to join in for Southbound and Ramblin Man. The guests included Betts one-time fellow Allman Brothers Band member Johnny Neel, as well as guitarists Seth Davis (Chef Dave) and Lee Roy Parnell. Great Southern will be in Vernon Hills, Illinois on Friday for a free Summer Celebration performance.
