Last night at the Twin River Event Center in Lincoln, RI (aka Lincoln Greyhound Park), RatDog and Keller Williams made an appearance in the revamped facilitys new Event Center (an atypical setting for Williams, who performs an annual gig for the SPCA). The show marked keyboard player Jeff Chimenti’s 650th performance with RatDog while Steve Kimock continued his July run with the group subbing for Mark Karan, who is undergoing treatment for throat cancer. The night offered a fully-segued first set from the band, followed by more in the second (after the Deep Elem Blues and Mexicali Blues openers which featured Bob Weir on acoustic guitar). Earlier in the evening, Weir joined Williams for ‘High Time’ as well as a pairing of ‘Wake Up Little Susie and Monkey and the Engineer.’
Williams and RatDog will next appear tomorrow at the All Good Festival.
