Longtime Soulive associate (and former full-time touring member) Sam Kininger has been giggng with his own group for a some time now. This evening in Asbury Park, the Sam Kininger Band will begin a southeast run. The quartet typically performs as a quartet with Kiningers alto sax complemented by keys, bass and drums. Over the next two weeks, the group also will travel down to Georgia, including stops in Philadelphia (North Star Bar, 7/6), Baltimore (an early show at the 8 ×10, 7/7), Charleston (Pour House, 7/17) and Ashveille, (Emerald Lounge, 7/21) and many more stops along the way.
