Yonder Mountain String Band started its career in 1998 playing Nederland, COs Pioneer Inn. Now, almost a decade later, the group will celebrate its 1000th show this Friday, June 15. The spectacle will take place at Des Moines, IAs Simon Estes Amphitheater and, one can only assume, feature some surprises. As Jeff, Ben, Adam and Dave often mention they are honored to be able to play music for a living, to share it with the band and all of the fans, a message on the groups homepage reads. Heres to the next 1000 shows! Before then, Yonder will perform at Bayfield, WIs Big Top Chautauqua tomorrow.
