At the Disco Biscuits recent Highline Ballroom shows, eagle eyed fans may have noticed white paper signs announcing a special appearance by New Deal spin-off The Join. On July 28, New Deal keyboardist Jamie Shields and drummer Darren Shearer will perform at the Highline with Disco Biscuits bassist Marc Brownstein and keyboardist Aron Magner. Shields has played in a number of Brownsteins side-projects over the years, including the Maui Project, JM2, Laverneus Cool, the L. Cool Trio and Sucker Punch. The Disco Biscuits will appear at Baltimore, MDs Sonar tonight.
