Last year Blues Traveler solicited song selections from its fans to appear on an upcoming acoustic release. This disc will draw on material than spans the band’s career (such as But Anyway, Defense and Desire, 100 Years and Mountains Win Again) and is now expected to hit a bit later this year. Traveler will be off the road for much of June before a series of July dates, which will include the groups annual July 4th appearance at Red Rocks. Joining the quintet at that show will be the Violent Femmes (Traveler has covered the Femmes Blister in The Sun on occasion). Next up for BT is a performance this Sunday at the Place Theater in Waterbury, CT.
