Blue Note Records has announced that it will curate a dedicated jazz club at this years Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival. The club, which will be dubbed Somethin Else, pledges to offer both live performances and panel discussions. Artists will include: Lou Donaldson and Dr. Lonnie Smith, Don Byron, Ravi Coltrane, the Stanton Moore Trio, Mago (Billy Martin and John Medeski), and The Philadelphia Experiment featuring Ahmir Thompson, Christian McBride, Uri Caine, and Robert Glasper. As a bonus, Somethin Else, will be designed to resemble a downtown New York City Jazz club and will offer air-conditioning, table seating and feature the Blue Note Records photography of Francis Wolff and album artwork of Reid Miles.
