The first annual Paul Green School of Rock Music Festival has been announced for this coming June. The event will take place in Asbury Park, NJ with Greens students joined by a rock notable each day. On June 23, Jeff Skunk Baxter (Steely Dan, Doobie Brothers) will appear with the School of Rock All Stars on a bill that also will include Ween and the Benevento Russo Duo. Then on June 24, Living Colours Vernon Reid will perform with the All Stars, while Bad Brains and the Bouncing Souls round out the day. A group of Green’s students currently is touring with Yes vocalist Jon Anderson and made an appearance this past weekend at the Green Apple Music Festival. The Paul Green School of Rock was profiled in Don Argott’s 2005 documentary film, Rock School.
