Evil Teen Records will celebrate the release of _ Warren Haynes Presents: The Benefit Concert Volume 2_ with a showcase at New Yorks Irving Plaza on March 28. While Evil Teen is keeping the events lineup hush-hush the record label promises appearances by many of the artists on both Volume 1 and 2 (heavy hitters on the discs include Govt Mule, the Allman Brothers Band, Dave Schools, John Popper, and Col. Bruce Hampton, among others.) Earlier in the day a number of musicians featured on the compilation will also sign copies of the album at the Virgin Megastore in Union Square. A limited number of tickets to this show, along with a guaranteed place in line for the signing, will be given away free with purchase of The Benefit Concert Volume 2 at the store beginning March 6 at 9 AM. Tickets for the all-star event will go on-sale March 9.
Govt Mule has also confirmed the remaining dates on its Million Miles Tour. The quartet will open its spring tour at the Wanee Festival on April 13 and is currently scheduled to wrap up its outing at Little Rock, AKs Revolution Music Room on May 3. Bonnaroo has also booked Govt Mule for one of its highly coveted late night spots.
