Since the original Meters reunited in 2005 the Funky Meters have been somewhat inactive. But, on March 8 and 9, the New Orleans supergroup, which featuring Art Neville, George Porter, Jr., Russell Batiste, Jr., and Brian Stoltz, will reunite for a pair of performances at Boulder, COs Fox Theatre. The Funky Meters performance is part of the Fox Theatres 15th anniversary celebration with also includes spots by John Butler Trio (3/2), Robert Randolph (3/3-4), Umphreys McGee (3/5-6), and Big Head Todd and the Monsters (3/7), among others. PBS, the trio featuring Porter, Batiste, and Stoltz will also launch a tour March 13 at Breckenridge, COs Sherpa and Yeti’s.
