Last evening at the Catalyst in Santa Cruz, Tea Leaf Green put in a rare local opening stint by supporting Umphrey’s McGee. During Sex in the 70s which closed out the Tea Leaf Green set, the members of Umphreys McGee gradually took the stage, joining TLG and then supplanting them to begin their own two-set performance. Umphreys continues its west coast tour this evening at the Anaheim House of Blues, while Tea Leaf Green is off until Saturday at the Mystic Theatre in Petaluma. Be sure to take a look at Randy Ray’s interview with Tea Lea Green guitarist Josh Clark, which we just added to the site (and while youre at it why not take a gander at Randys conversation with UM from earlier this year).
