On Saturday the quartet invited out longtime California resident Karl Denson at San Diego, CAs SDSU Open Air Theater. Denson emerged on saxophone for a good chunk of the groups second set, including Sco-Mule, That’s What Love Will Make You Do and Devil Likes It Slow, latter returning for Blind Man In The Dark at the end of the groups show. A night later Govt Mule invited Yellowjackets founder Robben Ford out at Santa Barbara, CAs The Arlington Theater. Ford, who recently collaborated with Warren Haynes and the Allman Brothers Band at the Beacon Theater, played guitar on I Believe To My Soul and 32/20 Blues.
