As previously reported, this fall the Derek Trucks Band will head out for a series of co-bill dates with the Susan Tedeschi Band. The first of these shows will take place on October 25 at Richardson Auditorium’s Alexander Hall in Princeton, NJ. The performance will serve as a benefit for Special Olympics New Jersey. This is the second annual benefit concert for SONJ, a non-profit organization that provides year round sports training in 23 sports and 140 competitions free-of-charge to more than 14,000 New Jerseyians with intellectual disabilities. Derek Trucks, who is currently out on the road with the Allman Brothers Band and then Eric Clapton, has no scheduled dates with the DTB prior to this gig, while the Susan Tedeschi Band is in Saratoga, California this evening at the Mountain Winery.
