As the Dave Matthews Bands Randalls Island event draws closer, Warren Haynes has increased his appearances with the hard touring quintet. On Tuesday, Govt Mule supported the Dave Matthews Band at Cincinnati, OHs Riverbend Amphitheater, with Haynes later taking the stage with the DMB for Jimi Thing. A night later, Haynes returned for an encore appearance, this time appearing on Smooth Rider at Clevelands Blossom Music Center. Last night, Govt Mule also offered a birthday tribute to Jerry Garcia, albeit a day late, in the form of Haynes eulogy, Patchwork Quilt. Both the Dave Matthews Band and Govt Mule will perform at New Yorks Randalls Island Saturday.
