Robert Randolph and the Family Band will release their second studio album, Colorblind, on September 26. The groups first studio document since 2003, Colorblind is also the first Family Band album to feature multi-instrumentalist Jason Crosby, who has toured with the group for the past three years. In addition, Colorblind will boast cameos from several of Randolphs most famous friends, including Eric Clapton, Dave Matthews and Leroi Moore. While most of Colorblinds song are Randolph originals, the pedal steel guitarist has also recorded a cover of the Doobie Brothers Jesus Is Just Alright.
Robert Randolph and the Family Band will open for the Black Crowes at Cleveland, OHs Tower City Amphitheater tonight.
