This past April Bob Weir appeared with the Waybacks for a few shows. Weir joined the group at its Great American Music Hall CD Release event and then at Merlefest. Looking ahead to October, the artists will collaborate again, with two dates confirmed thus far. On October 3 they will appear in Chico, California at the Sierra Nevada Brewing Company and five days later they will be part of the bill at the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival which will take place in San Franciscos Golden Gate Park. The Waybacks next perform this Saturday at Targhee Fest in Alta, WY while Weir returns to the stage with RatDog in mid-August.
