Four-time Jammy nominees My Morning Jacket are currently on the road with Pearl Jam, opening the first leg veteran-rockers’ 2006 tour. On Friday, MMJ opened for Pearl Jam at Grand Rapids, MIs Van Andel Arena, while Saturday the first time collaborators found themselves performing together at Cleveland, OHs Quicken Loans Arena. On both nights, Eddie Vedder joined My Morning Jacket onstage during its set, adding vocals to a cover of The Bands It Makes No Difference. Vedder also performed a surprise acoustic spot before MMJs set, offering a solo rendition of Dead Man and The Whos I Can’t Explain Friday and Pearl Jams hit cover of Last Kiss Saturday. Pearl Jam and My Morning Jacket will perform at Auburn Hills, MIs Palace of Auburn Hills tonight.
