Over the weekend, the String Cheese Incident added five additional west coast dates to its summer tour. On August 1 and 2, the Colorado-bred sextet will perform at Seattle’s Marymoor Amphitheatre, before holding court at Eugene, OR’s Cuthbert Amphitheater from August 4-6. For its Eugene-residency, the String Cheese Incident will collaborate with PEAK Experience Productions, evoking the spirit of its past Horning’s Hideout events. The group will also offer an extra third set on August 6, with additional guests supplying opening duties throughout the three-night run. While the String Cheese Incident has been slow to announce its summer plans this year, the group still plans to tour extensively in 2006. Recently, keyboardist Kyle Hollingsworth told Jambands.com , ‘We’ll have January to June off and then probably be pretty aggressive through the year. It will probably end up being only about eight less shows than last year.’ As of press time, the group has confirmed appearances in Morrison, CO (7/1-2), Detroit Lakes, MN (7/20-21) and Niigata, JPN (7/28-29).
