Drummer Bobby Previte recently wrapped up a European tour with a band he has dubbed the Coalition of the Willing. The European line-up included Charlie Hunter, Steven Bernstein and Jamie Saft. Previte has just announced that a new roster of players will join him next month for a North American Coalition of the Willing tour. Hunter is back, along with Marco Benevento on keyboards and Skerik on saxophones. The quartet will open the first of fifteen shows (in sixteen nights) on May 10 at The Nightlight Lounge in Bellingham, WA. The Coalition will then travel up and down the west coast through May 24 before flying east to close things out with a show on May 25 at New York Citys Tonic. A few days earlier, on May 23, Ropeadope will release a studio disc from Previte and the Coalition featuring all of the above musicians as well as Stanton Moore.
