This past weekend the Big Wu returned to the Roy Wilkins Auditorium in St. Paul four years after the bands last performance at the sizable venue. After an opening take on ‘Auld Land Syne,’ the group delivered on last weeks hint by Wu bass player Andrew Miller (he had indicated that the group would perform a song bearing the initials H.T. from an incredibly famous CD’ by the band C.T.) So for those of you still scoring at home, the song was Hello There,’ the band Cheap Trick and the album At Budokan. Other highlights included an appearance by guitarist Chris Castinos father, who, as in many previous years, took lead vocals on a song (That’s Life). The night ended with former Wu guitarist Jason Fladager returning to the stage with the band for a run from Red Sky into Golden Years and back into Red Sky.
