During its set at New Yorks Mercury Lounge last night, Lake Trouts smoke machine triggered the clubs fire alarm causing both the band and its fans to evacuate the building. After a brief smoke break outside, and a visit by three fire engines, the group returned to the stage and finished its set, which included older compositions like Number 2 and its new single, a cover of the Rolling Stones Street Fighting Man. After Lake Trouts performance, keyboardist Matt Pierce also offered his DJ services at the nearby Corner Billiards late into the night.
