Ever since his self-titled debut in 1970, Bruce Cockburn has sprinkled his recordings with instrumental compositions. Next month, he will take things a bit further, showcasing his acoustic guitar on _ Speechless_, an entire collection of original instrumentals. Cockburn produced the release along with Colin Linden and T-Bone Burnett, with a roster of performers that includes Gary Burton, Edgar Meyer, Mark OConnor. Cockburn, an underappreciated acoustic player, will depart his native Canada and tour the U.S. in support of the release beginning in mid-October.
