Electrons long labored debut release will finally see the light of day. Marc Brownsteins oldest side-project will release This is Electron at the groups New Yorks BB Kings Blues Club performance on August 12. Partially recorded at the club in April 2004, the studio/live hybrid also features Electron founders guitarist Tom Hamilton (Brothers Past), keyboardist Aron Magner (the Disco Biscuits) and drummer Joe Russo (the Duo). A few titles to chew on: Rock Candy, Home Again and Pitfall, as well as Radioheads The Bends. The first 100 fans who purchase tickets for Electrons BB Kings performance will receive a complimentary copy of This is Electron. Fittingly, Electrons fifth birthday arrives a week late on August 19 when many of the above mentioned players will be in Jamacia for Psytopia.
