On Monday afternoon in Atlanta, Rev. Jeff Mosier became the first individual believed to have performed the national anthem on a banjo prior to a Braves game. Mosier performed a solo version of the ‘Star Spangled Banner,’ singing and accompanying himself on the banjo before an announced crowd of 28,858. Alas, the Braves took a 4-1 loss to the Pirates but apparently have assigned no blame to the good Reverend who is scheduled to return on August 12 to deliver a version with the regrouped Blueground Undergrass.
