Onetime Zen Trickster Jason Crosby reunited with his former bandmates last night at New Yorks BB King Blues Club. Crosby, who was in town with Robert Randolph for the Island Getaway, joined the Tricksters for the first half of the groups set, playing fiddle and piano on such heavy hitters as Dark Star, Terrapin Station and Eyes of the World, as well as originals like The Last Ten Years. Crosby later gave way to another Tricksters alumnus, Pete Levin, who closed out the set on piano. Gent Treadlys Anastasia Rene, who has performed and recorded with Reid Genauer and Percy Hill over the years, also joined in the birthday celebration, adding vocals to a set closing version of Sugar Magnolia.
