The 8th Annual Woody Guthrie Folk Festival took place in Guthries hometown of Okemah, Oklahoma over the weekend. Quite fittingly, the Friday night bill culminated with the Spirit of Guthrie featuring Vince Herman, Rob Wasserman, Jim Page, and Theresa Andersson, which reunited for a one-off show after wrapping up its second national tour this past spring. Herman, Page and Andersson all contributed vocals to a range of songs including (as one might well expect) Hermans own Hey Woody Guthrie. Also, fittingly, the band made its debut recording available at the event with a national release expected in the near-future.
