RANA will return to seminal punk womb CBGB as part of a last ditch effort to save the lauded underground rock venue. As previously reported, CBGB is in danger of closing if it does not raise funds to renegotiate its lease by the summers end. Several of the clubs former marquee acts will return for Save CBGB shows throughout August including Thursday, Living Colour and punk legends the Dead Boys, who will reunite for the one-off gig. RANA, who performed at the club on New Years Eve in 2002 and 2003, will appear on August 3 along with Sound of Urchin. A number of noted bands, from all corners of the music universe, are expected to announce performances at the intimate club in the coming weeks.
