Trey Anastasio has been confirmed as an opening act on the Rolling Stones’ forthcoming world tour. Anastasio will open for the rock legends on October 6 at Scott Stadium in Charlottesville, VA. The former Phish guitarist joins the likes of Pearl Jam, John Mayer Trio, Maroon 5, Beck and Joss Stone as the Stones’ opening acts. With the exception of an appearance at the 10,000 Lakes Festival, this opening spot marks the guitarist’s only confirmed tour date as of press time. Anastasio is currently in Atlanta working on his next studio album with 70 Volt Parade.
