Last night La Zona Rosa became La Zona Lesh as the Grateful Dead bassist sat in with Particle at the Austin, TX venue. This is the first time Lesh has performed with the group, although Particles Steve Molitz served as one of Leshs Friends earlier this year (and Particle recently toured as Hydra with Leshs longtime bandmate Mickey Hart). Lesh took the stage at the end of the first set during Golden Gator which segued into an instrumental take on The Other One. A bit later in the evening Austin-resident Topaz also joined the quartet for ‘Any Colour You Like’. This weekend Particle will be in Kansas at the Wakarusa festival.
