The Slip has limited its touring over the past few months while it completes recording its next studio disc. The trio will return to the road at the end of the month with a show at The Independent in San Francisco prior to some appearances at the High Sierra Music Festival. However, following the HSMF the group will return to the northeast for a free performance in downtown Providence, Rhode Island to commemorate the 20th Anniversary of AS220. In the mid-90s The Slip played multiple gigs at AS220 which hosts galleries and performance/work spaces for a range of artists. The group will be one of multiple performers appearing at the show which will take place on Empire Street, with other confirmed musicians to include Ted Leo and Erin Mckeown.
