On Saturday night the Motet performed at the Fox Theatre in their hometown of Boulder, CO. Also on hand was fellow area-resident Michael Kang who stepped up at the outset of set two joining the group on violin for three songs: ‘Afrotech’, ‘Siga’ and ‘Cheap Shit.’ Following this gig the Motet is now gearing up for cross-country travel later this month, including appearances at the Black & White Ball in downtown San Francisco on June 11 and a main stage appearance at the Freihofer’s Jazz Festival at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center on June 25, along with some additional dates on both coasts.
