While a bit belated, we’ve just received word on a number of intriguing collaborations from this past weekend’s Joshua Tree Music Festival. Perhaps the festival’s highlight, supergroup the Frequinox invited Malcolm ‘Papa Mali’ Welbourne to the stage for ‘Gilded Splinters,’ while Papa Mali himself welcomed both Victoria Williams and Wally Ingram. Later, Jamie Janover joined Signal Path, while John Whoolilurie played sax with Hamsa Lila for an entire set.
