New Jersey’s Jounce will celebrate its fifth anniversary this weekend. Formed while its members were seniors at Franklin Lakes’ Ramapo High School, Jounce continued to gig steadily while the quartet spread-out at various Northeast colleges. Indeed, at their early gigs, the band members had to fudge their ages to play 21-plus venues. Since their collegiate emancipation last year, the group has hit the touring circuit hard, playing festivals and clubs throughout the east coast. The group’s fifth anniversary performance will take place at Teaneck, NJ’s Mexicali Blues this Friday.
